KANSAS STYLE RIBS

These Ribs taste so incredible by doubling up on the flavour using Mic’s Chilli BBQ Sauce and an easy to use dry rub. They’re a perfect way to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon with friends while your oven does all the work. Delicious with Potato Wedges, Salad and Garlic Sour Cream dip.

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes Cook Time: 2 Hrs 45 Mins

Serves 4-6

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Racks Of Pork Ribs

  • 50 g Soft Brown Sugar

  • 35g Smoked paprika

  • 10g Freshly Ground black Pepper

  • 10g Pink salt

  • 6g Chilli Powder

  • 20g Garlic Powder

  • 20g Onion Powder

  • 1 Bottle Mic’s Chilli BBQ Sauce

METHOD

1. For the Rub mix together in a bowl the Sugar, Smoked Paprika, Pepper, Salt, Chilli, Garlic and Onion Powder.

2. Rub onto Ribs and leave them to sit at room temperature for 1 Hour.

3. Preheat Oven to 200°C

4. Place Ribs Meat side up in a Roasting Dish and pour 2/3 Of Mic’s Chilli BBQ evenly over.

5. Cover the Roasting Dish with Grease Proof Paper and Tin Foil and cook for 30 minutes.

6. Reduce heat to 120°C and leave to cook for further 2 hours for the Ribs to be tender

7. Remove tray from oven, turn up the temperature to 180°C.

8. Remove the paper and tinfoil and when oven temperature is ready return them to the oven for a further 10-15 minutes until they get a dark colour.

9. Remove from the baking tray and serve.
